Burden Of Own !

Welcome to 34th Monday Musings:

A Monarch of long ago had twin sons. As they grew to young manhood, the king sought a fair way to designate one of them as crown prince.
All who knew the young men thought them equal in intelligence, wit, personal charm, health, and physical strength. Being a keenly observant king, he thought he detected a trait in one which was not shared by the other.

Calling them to his council chamber one day, he said, "My sons, the day will come when one of you must succeed me as king. The weight of sovereignty is very heavy. To find out which of you is better able to bear them cheerfully, I am sending you together to a far corner of the kingdom.
One of my advisors there will place equal burdens on your shoulders. My crown will one day go to the one who first returns bearing his yoke like a king should."
In a spirit of friendly competition, the brothers set out together. Soon they overtook an aged woman struggling under a burden that seemed far too heavy for her frail body.
One of the boys suggested that they stop to help her.
The other protested: "We have a saddle of our own to worry about. Let us be on our way."

The objector hurried on while the other stayed behind to give aid to the aged woman. Along the road, from day to day, he found others who also needed help. A blind man took him miles out of his way, and a lame man slowed him to a cripple's walk.
Eventually he did reach his father's advisor, where he secured his own yoke and started home with it safely on his shoulders.
When he arrived at the palace, his brother met him at the gate, and greeted him with dismay. He said, "I don't understand. I told our father the weight was too heavy to carry. However did you do it?"
The Prince (future king) replied thoughtfully, "I suppose when I helped others carry their yoke, I found the strength to carry my own."

Moral of the story :

Heaven grant that the burden you carry may have as easy an exit as it had an entrance.

Every burden on your shoulder has a purpose and gives you strength to deal with many critical situations, you won’t even notice.

Always enjoy the burden and situation linked to it, always help others, It is key to success and happy life.

Butterfly !

Welcome to 33rd Monday Musings:

A man found a cocoon of a butterfly.

One day a small opening appeared. He sat and watched the butterfly for several hours as it struggled to force its body through that little hole. Then it seemed to stop making any progress. It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could, and it could go no further.

So the man decided to help the butterfly. He took a pair of scissors and snipped off the remaining bit of the cocoon. The butterfly then emerged easily. But it had a swollen body and small, shriveled wings.

The man continued to watch the butterfly because he expected that, at any moment, the wings would enlarge and expand to be able to support the body, which would contract in time.

Neither happened! In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around with a swollen body and shriveled wings. It was unable to fly.

What the man, in his kindness and haste, did not understand was that, the restricting cocoon and the struggle required for the butterfly to get through the tiny opening were the ways of forcing fluid from the body of the butterfly into its wings, so that it would be ready for flight once it achieved its freedom from the cocoon

Moral of the story :

Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our lives. If we are allowed to go through our lives without any obstacles, it would cripple us.

We would not be as strong without struggle, as what we could have been. We could never fly!

Best explanation ever !

Welcome to 32nd Monday Musings:

This is one of the best explanations of why God allows pain and suffering that I have seen :

A man went to a barbershop to have his hair cut and his beard trimmed. As the barber began to work, they began to have a good conversation. They talked about so many things and various subjects. When they eventually touched on the subject of God, the barber said:"I don't believe that God exists."

"Why do you say that?" asked the customer.

"Well, you just have to go out in the street to realize that God doesn't exist. Tell me, if God exists, would there be so many sick people? Would there be abandoned children?

If God existed, there would be neither suffering nor pain. I can't imagine a loving God who would allow all of these things."

The customer thought for a moment, but didn't respond because he didn't want to start an argument. The barber finished his job and the customer left the shop.

Just after he left the barbershop, he saw a man in the street with long, stringy, dirty hair and an untrimmed beard. He looked dirty and unkempt. The customer turned back and entered the barber shop again and he said to the barber: "You know what? Barbers do not exist."

"How can you say that?" asked the surprised barber.

"I am here, and I am a barber. And I just worked on you!"

"No!" the customer exclaimed. "Barbers don't exist because if they did, there would be no people with dirty long hair and untrimmed beards, like that man outside."

"Ah, but barbers DO exist! That's what happens when people do not come to me." "Exactly!" affirmed the customer.

"That's the point! God, too, DOES exist! That's what happens when people do not go to Him and don't look to Him for help. That's! why there's so much pain and suffering in the world."

Moral of the story :

Keep faith in GOD, HE is just a pray away !

Make it a great Week !

Give time to your family and yourself !

Welcome to 31st Monday Musings:

A man came home from work late worn out and irritated to find his 5-year old son impatiently waiting for him at the door.

Son: Dad, I want to ask you a question.

Dad: Sure, go ahead.

Son: Dad, how much do you earn an hour?

Dad (angrily): That’s none of your business.

Son: Dad, please. tell me, I want to know.

Dad: If you must know, I make $30 an hour.

Son: ‘Oh,’ the little boy replied, with his head down. ‘Dad, may I borrow $10? The man was furious.

Dad: If the only reason you asked that silly question is to borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then move yourself straight to the room. Go to bed and think about why you are being so selfish. I don’t work hard every day for such childish frivolities.

The little boy quietly went into his room.

The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy’s questions. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money?
After an hour or so, the man calmed down a little, and started to think: Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that $10. He really didn’t ask for money very often.
The man went to the little boy’s room and opened the door.

Dad: Are you asleep, son?

Son: No dad, I’m awake.

Dad: Maybe I was too hard on you earlier. It’s been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you. Here’s the $10 you asked for.

The little boy sat straight up, smiling. ‘Oh, thank you dad!’ he yelled. Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills.

The man saw that the boy already had money, and started to get angry again.

The little boy slowly counted his money, and then looked up at his dad.

Dad: Why do you want more money when you already have some?

Son: Because I didn't have enough, but now I do.

Son: Dad, I have $30 now. Can I buy an hour of your time? Dad, can you come home early tomorrow? I want to have dinner with you.

The dad was crushed. He put his arms around his little son, and begged for his forgiveness…

Moral of the story :

It’s a reminder to all of us working so hard in life. We should not let time slip through our hand without having spent some quality time with our loved ones. Do remember to share that $30 worth time with someone you love.

If we die tomorrow, the place we are working for can easily replace us in no time. But the family and friends we leave behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives.

It’s not only your family and friends are losing opportunity to spend time with you but your are also losing equal opportunity and precious time

Today we may earn 30 $ more for an hour but once precious time is gone we can’t buy same moments even in 3000$

Give time to your family, yourself and your dear one

Make it a great Week !

A Nice Lesson !

Welcome to 30th Monday Musings & A very very Happy New Year to You:

Once a boy went to a shop with his mother. The shop keeper looked at the small cute child and showed him a bottle with sweets

and said 'Dear Child..u can take the sweets...

But the child didn't take.

The shop keeper was surprised.. such a small child he is and why is he not taking the sweets from the bottle. Again he said take the sweets....

Now the mother also heard that and said.. take the sweets dear..

Yet he didn't take... The shopkeeper seeing the child not taking the sweets... he himself took the sweets and gave to the child. The child was happy to get two hands full of sweets.

While returning  home the Mother asked the child... Why didn’t you take the sweets, when  the shop keeper told you to take?..

Can you guess the response:

Child replies... Mom! my hands are very small and if I take the sweets I can only take few.. but now you see when uncle gave with his big hands.... how many more sweets I got!

Moral of the story :

When we take we may get little but when God gives... HE gives us more beyond our expectations... more than what we can hold..!!

Make it a great Year !
